Sprucing Up Our Favorite Camera Angle

Before -

A few members of the Friends met over the July 27-28 weekend to spruce up Maxwell's signpost and the plantings around the base. First job was to scrub all the grass clippings off the signpost, then add a coat of paint. Next, the hosta and daylilies were dug out, keeping the two geranium plants - for now. The area was edged, manure, enriched soil, and peat moss were added. Finally, yellow marigolds were planted. The four bricks are temporary, but will return after they're sealed.
It was hot, buggy, and humid.

P.S. Yellow is the traditional Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library color.

The bricks are temporarily placed.
