Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library
Year in Review 2021
Gave funds in the amount of $1,377.00 to Maxwell Memorial Library.
The Friends met each month except for July and December; all took place on Zoom except for June (met in person at Friend’s home) and August (met in person at Community Room).
The Junior Friends met in person (outside) eight times to have book chats and help with activities.
January - Annual Meeting
February - Flowers and chocolates given to library staff
March - Purchased tickets for the library’s gift basket drawing
April - Hosted guest speaker Kelly Chambala (librarian), Poetry Month giveaway, National Library Week Promotion, Geranium Sale goes live
May - Geranium Sale, Junior Friends plant flowers under library sign
June - Junior Friends garage sale
July - Fairmount Gardens outreach resumes, Junior Friends place flags under library sign for 4th of July
August/September- Plan for Bulb Sale and October events
October- Bulb Sale, Junior Friends Candy Corn Contest, National Friends of Libraries Week, pumpkins for Mischief at Maxwell event, 50 50 Drawing, Art Exhibit
November - Donated a decorated wreath for the Holiday Open House at the Octagon House, placed flags under library sign for Veterans Day
December - Donated a decorated tree for the Festival of Trees at Onondaga Free Library, decorated Maxwell Library
