Our dear friend, Betty Smith, passed away on June 4, 2023. Betty was a founding member of the Friends of Maxwell Memorial Library when the group formed in 1993. She and Jean Eustis led the group until 2011, and they continued to support the Friends of Maxwell for many years. Besides organizing garage, book, geranium sales, and countless other projects to support Maxwell, Betty volunteered at the library, created the Unraveling Yarns book club, and delivered books to the Fairmount Senior Garden Apartments each month. She inspired all of us with her energy, and love for Maxwell Memorial Library. We offer our sincere condolences to Betty's family.
