January 2023 Meeting

December 2022

The library is very festive! Friends decorated the library, and donated a wreath for the Octagon House and a tree for Onondaga Free Library's Festival of Trees. Check out our new/old display area on the card catalog. Happy Holidays!

National Friends of Libraries Week October 16-22 2022

 Celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week with us!

Guess the number of Candy Corns in the jar. It's free to enter.
The person whose guess is the closest will win $25.00 cash.
Runner-up will win $15.00 cash.
The jar holds 16 oz. of liquid, and it's 5.5 inches tall.

Junior Friends Giveaway #2: Guess how many seashells are in the jar! All ages can enter through Aug. 5 for a chance to win a cash prize.

Junior Friends Summer Giveaway #1: 4th of July balloons! Residents at Camillus Ridge Terrace were thrilled to receive a balloon bouquet. Patrons can pick up a balloon at the library on Thursday, June 30 (first come first serve until they run out). 
 

2021 National Friends of Libraries Week Award

The Friends of Maxwell Library are honored to be the recipients of the 2021 National Friends of Libraries Week Award. National Friends of Libraries Week is held every October; in 2021, the Friends collaborated on several programs such as an art exhibit and the Mischief at Maxwell Halloween event. The Friends are one of two groups nationwide to receive this award, and they will receive special recognition at the American Libraries Association's United for Libraries conference in August 2022.

May 2022

We sold over 1,000 geraniums this year! Red was the favorite.
