"Poem in Your Pocket Day" takes place during National Poetry Month. This year it's on April 30. We can't give you a poem for your pocket at the library this year, but our Junior Friends' members put these together. They're in the mail to members of the Friends of Maxwell!
Thank you to our Junior Members for leading this project.
Materials and postage were donated by Friends' members.
We tried to figure out a way to hold our 18th annual Geranium Sale this year and couldn't come up with a plan that would take into account that Maxwell Library will probably still be closed, and how we would be able to maintain social distancing.
This has been a difficult decision on many levels.
It's our biggest fundraiser each year.
We won't be able to donate those lost funds to the library.
We love doing business with Bradtke's Nursery, which has the best plants.
It's exciting to unload about 1,600 geraniums at the Village Hall.
We'll miss seeing everyone when they come to pick up their plants.
